Tarot Poetry

Two Heads Are Better Than One

There are spaces beyond the trouble
Where the feeling is finally free.
I bought a house on that plateau and cried,
"This is the life for me!"
It's amazing how clear,
When you climb above the fear,
The circles you've been running in become.

Two heads are better than one:
There's a reason for the night and the day.
Whatever we dream together we'll find a way.

There are places you know will hurt you,
But you want to go just the same.
When I couldn't climb out of that valley
I had only myself to blame.
It's amazing how clear,
When you sink below the fear,
The circles you've been running in become.

Two heads are better than one:
There's a reason for the left and the right.
Wherever we go together we'll be alright.

When I see the stars above us
I know somehow they love us
And the darkest night is followed by the day.
When your eyes meet mine in glory
We're the stars of our own story.
There's no turning back, we're going all the way.

There are traces in ancient fables
Of lovers who loved too well.
If it was worth the price they paid for love,
Only those who love can tell.
It's amazing how clear,
When you stand inside love's sphere,
The circles you've been running in become.

VII - The Chariot

When a man and woman with a common goal agree to work as a team, only moving forward when both partners are in agreement, their individual tendencies to stray from the path are canceled out. What remains is the guidance from above. The lesson of the Chariot is that marriage is a vehicle of enlightenment when it is based on a shared goal that is larger than the relationship.
