Ek Ong Kar
Siyahamba
Kyrie Eleison

Sometimes we may forget that God is unbelievably happy. One translation of the Ek Ong Kar dance is, "There is one God, whose name is Truth. Magnificent and beyond words is the ecstasy of Infinity."
In the Zulu language, Siyahamba reminds us that wherever we go, we are always in the light of God.
Kyrie Eleison brings our focus to the infinite mercy of the One.

Gate, Gate
Alleluia
In the Presence Of The Lord

"Gate, Gate" takes us to a place beyond the mind, a place where the recognition that we are all One brings enlightenment.
"Alleluia" is an opportunity to raise our vibrations. The Bible recommends that when times are hardest we should lift our spirits by singing and dancing with joy.
Finally, a reminder that, since God is everywhere, we are always "in the presence of the Lord."

The Beltane Brand
Narayana
Om Namo Amitabhaya

To celebrate the Celtic festival of Beltane we begin with a reminder that the well-being of the individual depends so often upon the well-being and connectedness of the community.
Next we turn our attention to the Source of life with undivided mind.
Our third dance is an invocation of the Buddha of Light and Wisdom.

Estaferallah
Od Yavo
Medicine Buddha

The Sufi message in our first dance could be translated as, "We take refuge in the purifying presence of the One."
Od Yavo Shalom Aleinu is an affirmation of our faith, in Hebrew, that "peace will come upon us."
The Medicine Buddha dance calls upon the "Great Healer" to heal us on all levels, inwardly and outwardly.

E Malama
Kadosh Shemayim
For The Beauty Of The Earth

To celebrate Earth Day, this program includes two dances that honor the Earth.
E Malama is a renewal of our commitment to nurture the natural world.
With Kadosh Shemayim we connect to and channel Source Energy to help fulfill our commitment.
In conclusion we voice our gratitude for the precious environment we've been given.

Soli Deo
Sat Narayan Wahe Guru
Celtic Blessing (Deep Peace)

Bach wrote "Soli Deo Gloria" (To God alone the glory) on every page of his music, showing his recognition that everything we do is accomplished by the grace of the creator.
The invocation of Narayan attunes us to the non-resistance of the element of water, and to our own divine nature.
The Celtic Blessing helps us connect with the peace that permeates all Nature, of which we are a part.

Peace Of Spirit

The Lord Is My Shepherd
Return To Love

The Source of all things is, and radiates, peace at all times. When we ask the Divine, as we do in our first dance, to "Send us the peace of Thy Spirit", we are actually asking for help in releasing our own resistance to God's ever-flowing peace.

"The Lord Is My Shepherd" is an affirmation, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, that God cares for us and watches over us.
We conclude with "Return To Love, a message of goodwill to all!

Ancestors, Sky People
Freedom Zikr
Ra Ma Da Sa

We begin with "Ancestors, Sky People", a dance that honors our ancestors, who endured various hardships in their own time. We recognize how many blessings we've enjoyed in our lives because of their efforts.
Our second dance, a variation of the "Freedom Zikr" gives undivided attention to the Divine, which always brings a joyful feeling. It is important in the darkest of times to periodically turn our attention to that which is good and uplifting.
We conclude with "Ra Ma Da Sa", a healing dance.

Paisley Zikr

A recent note from our dear friend Ron Paisley, who dances with us in Portland when he visits, included the phrase, "Ya Hafiz, Ya Hafiz, La illaha illa'lla". We were immediately inspired with enthusiasm to bring through the melody and movements for this zikr, which we hope you'll enjoy.
"Ya Hafiz" invokes the remembrance in us that every spark of life, from the largest to the tiniest, is protected by God. Chanting this phrase is an antidote to fear, despair and hopelessness.
